Before you decide on which kids club booking software is the best fit for your kids activity business, you will want to do some research and gain a better understanding of your options. Here at ClassForKids, we understand that, and we want to be as transparent and clear as possible to make your decision super easy!

So, let’s get to know the system by answering some of our most frequently asked questions surrounding getting set up with ClassForKids, the functionality and features of our system as well as questions about payments.

Set Up Questions


How long does it take to get setup and is it easy to do?

Getting set up with ClassForKids is super easy and can be done to your timescale. Whether you need your system up and running within a week or even a day, we can do it! You’ll also have support from your team every step of the way.

How easy is it for me to move parents across onto ClassForKids?

Super easy! You’ll receive a booking link to send out to existing customers, along with templates that you can copy and paste, explaining everything parents will need to know about your new booking system. This is all done through the communication system you already use like whatsapp or email. It’s then really simple for parents to create an account, save their details and book and pay with ClassForKids!

Can I test the system with my camp bookings before trying it with a full term and my full programme size?

Yes absolutely - it is very common for clubs to adopt our system firstly with their camp bookings before introducing the system to their wider programme size. This also allows you to be able to get familiar with the system and having more confidence before rolling this out across your club.  You even get some added flexibility with our camps feature including individual day bookings, half days, early drop off and late pick up!

Is ClassForKids the right fit for franchises?

Absolutely! As well as independent clubs of all sizes, we work with some of the largest franchises in the UK to provide a stable and scalable platform for all of their businesses. We've even been known to build specific features just for them (and then rolled them out to our other customers).

I run all year round, can I set this up? I also run one-off events and camps, do you support this?

Of course! Most clubs usually keep their registers and booking to 12 week periods to make it easier to manage attendance and holidays. But with our re-run feature, it only takes a few minutes to set-up your new term dates.

We also support one-off events and camps with specialty features like late drop-offs and early pick-ups to support you no matter how you’d like to run your club!

Questions on features and functionality

Can I send emails and texts to my parents?

Yes! With the ClassForKids system you can send emails and texts to individuals, groups or classes, or even to everyone in your program. Communication made easy!

Can I integrate the system with my website?

Absolutely. ClassForKids can be integrated with your website using a simple iFrame code, which we have a clear guide on how to do. This means that your parents will have a super-easy time finding your classes, camps or events, booking on, paying and seeing the details all in one place.

Can I send automated emails?

Automated emails are unfortunately a feature that we do not offer (yet!). Parents can still receive automated emails for booking and payment confirmations, but you can't send any other automated emails yourself.

What happens if I need to cancel a class?

Cancelling a class is easy to do! It only takes a couple of clicks, and you can then effortlessly communicate this message to everyone that needs to be notified of the cancellation - such as parents!

My internet connection can be poor in some locations, does ClassForKids work offline?

We know that many of our clubs run their classes somewhere with spotty or no connectivity. That’s where our offline registers come into play! Our mobile registers can be saved and used offline, meaning immediate access to the necessary information when you need it.

Can my coaches and staff use the system? What can my staff access?

You can have as many users across as many devices as you need at no additional cost. You can even give coaches or teachers a tailored register-only access. Coaches can be set up to access specific registers and class details, while admins have access to more functionality such as financials and general feature settings. It’s all up to you!

Payment Questions


How easy is it to refund a payment?

Refunding payments is as easy as clicking a couple of buttons! In order to avoid any mistakes where you might need to refund someone we also offer automated payment subscriptions meaning that the correct payment will be taken automatically on time every month.

How will I know if someone hasn't paid?

If a parent has missed a payment they'll be highlighted in red on the class register. This will also be reflected in your financial analysis page. It’s super simple to invoice parents by sending out an email or SMS reminder if need be!

Do you have a charge per payment?

We do take a fee of 3.1% and our payment provider, Stripe, also takes a fee for each transaction made through the system. You can easily absorb these fees into your own costs or pass them onto your parents. We are happy to help you figure out how to do this and can talk you through this process further in your set up call!

We offer different payment options for parents, can you cater for this?

Yes we can! If you accept alternative payment methods such as bank transfers, cash, or childcare vouchers, we can include this information to the parents when they are signing up. When we are setting up the system, you can input all your additional payment methods onto the system so parents will know exactly what payment options they have when they go to book.
