Grassroots Sports Academy formerly 5Sport is a Sports Coaching and Physical Education provider that promotes life-skills through Sport/Physical Activity! We have clubs, camps and educational programmes for children aged 18 months - 12 years!

We are a not-for-profit basketball club, whose sole purpose is to use basketball to improve lives and communities across our region.

Our progressive play programme is designed to develop your child’s physical skills. Using bespoke colourful equipment, we focus on agility, balance, climbing and co-ordination, which enhances brain development and builds confidence. Every session is supervised by our amazing specially trained staff, getting the best out of each child. Up until 3 years, grown-ups participate as well so that parents, carers and even grandparents can spend time with little ones as they develop. The journey begins for babies from 6 months old who can sit up unaided.

Bring your child to one of the Little Bikers Balance Bike classes, and watch your child gain confidence both on and off the bike! With fun, active and specifically designed tasks, challenges and games, your child will develop gross motor skills all whilst enjoying themselves all whilst learning how to ride a bike. Our group sessions are a great way to encourage your child to cycle and learn how to ride a pedal bike earlier.

Cat J's Academy of Dance is a small friendly dance school in the heart of Longwood.

Embracing the JOY of early years. At Joy, we empower parents to navigate their child’s early years with confidence. Through baby classes, parent coaching, and postnatal support, we provide expert, compassionate guidance, grounded in over two decades of early years expertise. JOYful Developmental Baby Massage (4weeks - 7months) The class is built around developing the physical skills and strength that, over time, support your baby to co-ordinate movement, grasp, roll, sit and crawl. We sing, massage, move baby through yoga and gymnastic movements and ensure lots of kisses and snuggles. The second half of the class is a hot drink, a bottomless biscuit tin and a chance to chat with other parents. JOYful Movers (7months - Confident Walker) The class focuses on building confidence in your baby’s changing physical skills. We continue to work on strength and strong foundations for crawling and walking. There is lots of gymnastics and rough and tumble type play so prepare for a work out! The session is also designed to encourage early communication and language skills through singing, signing, instruments and interactive games. The last half hour is a chance to catch you breath with a drink whilst your baby moves around freely and socialises. Embracing the JOY of the early years

We are a fun, inclusive, recreational club. We believe in the power of community and the joy of Gymnastics. Our values lie in Gymnastics for ALL and will always welcome your gymnast whatever their needs. Founded by head coach Hailey in 2013, she has 21 years experience in coaching recreational gymnastics. Hailey's key disciplines are tumbling and sports acrobatics. We love getting involved in community events and host many extra socials such as Easter egg hunts, Christmas parties and an end of year presentation with trophies for children displaying our core values throughout the year.

We offer a range of football classes in the Penistone area, led by a qualified, FA licensed and fully insured coach. Our classes take place at Penistone Church Football Club - the footballing home of England and Manchester City star, John Stones! This is a great facility with both astroturf & grass pitches and readily available free onsite parking. We provide coaching appropriate to the age and standard of the players - from simple, fun classes to technical sessions, players can develop at an appropriate pace. Many sessions are based on academy level coaching. We are responsible for the development of players to represent Penistone Church FC under 7's each year.
