Our progressive play programme is designed to develop your child’s physical skills. Using bespoke colourful equipment, we focus on agility, balance, climbing and co-ordination, which enhances brain development and builds confidence. Developing early years physical and cognitive skills is essential so that children can not only become beautiful ballerinas, but can excel in life with confidence and self esteem! Classes enable children to develop their; posture, alignment, poise, coordination, rhythm, creativity, balance, physical and numeric literacy, strength, fitness, determination, problem solving, communication, listening skills, focus, discipline, following instructions, spatial planning, self expression, empathy and compassion, social skills, cultural awareness, identity, inclusion, diversity, ... and so much more! Embracing the JOY of early years. At Joy, we empower parents to navigate their child’s early years with confidence. Through baby classes, parent coaching, and postnatal support, we provide expert, compassionate guidance, grounded in over two decades of early years expertise. JOYful Developmental Baby Massage (4weeks - 7months) The class is built around developing the physical skills and strength that, over time, support your baby to co-ordinate movement, grasp, roll, sit and crawl. We sing, massage, move baby through yoga and gymnastic movements and ensure lots of kisses and snuggles. The second half of the class is a hot drink, a bottomless biscuit tin and a chance to chat with other parents. JOYful Movers (7months - Confident Walker) The class focuses on building confidence in your baby’s changing physical skills. We continue to work on strength and strong foundations for crawling and walking. There is lots of gymnastics and rough and tumble type play so prepare for a work out! The session is also designed to encourage early communication and language skills through singing, signing, instruments and interactive games. We are a small non profit gymnastic club. We run for the local children. We build confidence, friendship and new skills all while been part of the Selby Swans family. We have a team of 5 coaches and 4 junior coaches, that we are very proud to have.
