Magical, creative performing arts classes for little people across Yorkshire

Our progressive play programme is designed to develop your child’s physical skills. Using bespoke colourful equipment, we focus on agility, balance, climbing and co-ordination, which enhances brain development and builds confidence. Every session is supervised by our amazing specially trained staff, getting the best out of each child. Up until 3 years, grown-ups participate as well so that parents, carers and even grandparents can spend time with little ones as they develop. The journey begins for babies from 6 months old who can sit up unaided.

KINESISdance is run by qualified dance teacher, Helen Brown, and offers a variety of classes and workshops in and around York. We offer regular Street Dance, Contemporary Dance & Musical Theatre Dance for CHILDREN, TEENAGERS & ADULTS, as well as working with pupils and teachers in Primary Schools to deliver creative dance through the curriculum and CPD workshops. In addition, we also offer bespoke Wedding First Dance Tuition, working with couples to create a First Dance which is perfect for them.

We provide fun, recreational gymnastics and trampolining for children ages 5 -16 years of all abilities. Classes are run by dedicated, well qualified coaches who will provide enthusiastic opportunities for children to develop their gymnastic and trampoline skills.

We are renowned for our classes in RAD Classical Ballet as well as Jazz, Contemporary, Acro, Tap, Repitore, Pointe Work and Lyrical Dance. Hi! I’m Helen, an experienced early years leader and busy Mummy of two children. I started running The Jolly Melodies Music Company, formerly Music with Mummy ten years ago, after taking both my own children from just 10 weeks old and seeing how much they enjoyed it & benefitted from it. I love meeting other local families and bringing them together in a friendly, fun environment. My classes are a great way to bond with your little one whilst encouraging their love for music, helping with speech development and enhancing their sense of rhythm. We have lots of fun with instruments, age appropriate sensory props, bubbles, singing and dancing, but it’s also half an hour out of the house where you can have some quality time with your baby/toddler. I know how daunting it can be going along to a new group so I make every effort to ensure you feel welcome and to put you and your little one at ease.

We are Galacticos! Welcome to Galacticos Junior Football Academy! Where we’re passionate about football! Our goal is to instill that same passion in our children. We aim to create a safe space where girls and boys age 2-12 years can build confidence, develop technical skills, and enhance fitness and wellbeing. Above all else, a space for them to revel in the joy of playing the nation's beloved game... football! Galacticos are kicking off from September 2024 in York with weekly one hour sessions led by our Galacticos FA accredited coaches.
