Hi! I’m Helen, an experienced early years leader and a busy mummy of two. I’ve been running The Jolly Melodies Music Company in North Yorkshire (formerly Music with Mummy) since 2013, after attending classes with both of my own children from just 10 weeks old. Seeing first-hand how much they loved the sessions — and how much they benefited from them — sparked my passion for sharing this experience with other local families. My classes offer a lovely opportunity to bond with your little one while nurturing a love of music, supporting early speech development and encouraging a sense of rhythm. We sing, dance and explore instruments, alongside age-appropriate sensory props and bubbles, all thoughtfully designed to engage and delight babies and toddlers. Just as importantly, it’s a relaxed half hour out of the house where you can enjoy some special, unrushed time together. I understand how daunting it can feel to walk into a new group, so I make every effort to ensure you and your little one feel warmly welcomed and at ease from your very first session.

Introducing LA Performance Academy. We are a brand new dance and theatre school based in the heart of Harrogate, North Yorkshire, offering a variety of classes including ISTD Ballet, modern, tap, jazz, musical theatre, Acrobatic Arts, singing, drama and much more! KINESISdance is run by qualified dance teacher, Helen Brown, and offers a variety of classes and workshops in and around York. We offer regular Street Dance, Contemporary Dance & Musical Theatre Dance for CHILDREN, TEENAGERS & ADULTS, as well as working with pupils and teachers in Primary Schools to deliver creative dance through the curriculum and CPD workshops. In addition, we also offer bespoke Wedding First Dance Tuition, working with couples to create a First Dance which is perfect for them.

Our progressive play programme is designed to develop your child’s physical skills. Using bespoke colourful equipment, we focus on agility, balance, climbing and co-ordination, which enhances brain development and builds confidence. Every session is supervised by our amazing specially trained staff, getting the best out of each child. Up until 3 years, grown-ups participate as well so that parents, carers and even grandparents can spend time with little ones as they develop. The journey begins for babies from 6 months old who can sit up unaided.

Rugrats Rugby Cleveland provides weekly non-contact Rugby specific classes for toddlers and pre-schoolers. Our sessions provide the environment for them to develop skills, make friends and have fun!

We teach our passion of dance to infants, children and adults. En Pointe has fantastic facilities at our new dance studios in York. We are renowned for our classes in RAD Classical Ballet as well as Jazz, Contemporary, Acro, Tap, Repitore, Pointe Work and Lyrical Dance. We provide fun, recreational gymnastics and trampolining for children ages 5 -16 years of all abilities. Classes are run by dedicated, well qualified coaches who will provide enthusiastic opportunities for children to develop their gymnastic and trampoline skills.
