LSRA was formed in 1976, although an earlier incarnation got things started in 1967. Now in its 50th year we are still going from strength to strength. This year LSRA changed its name to LSR dropping the association as we are now a registered club. With activities on the hill on Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays and Friday evenings, as well as ad-hoc training nights there are lots of opportunities to push your skills in ski racing with our experienced coaches. Based at Hillend (currently known as Midlothian Snowsports Centre) on the edge of the Pentland Hills to the South of Edinburgh, LSR has been actively involved in training thousands of trainees from the central belt of Scotland and beyond. Some of whom have raced at the highest levels including the Olympics! Today, we have over 200 trainees, with an athlete / coach ratio set around 10:1. We have also introduced a Masters Category for racers over the age of 30 and have been successful in enticing numerous new and older racers alike. LSR is a non-profit organisation, run by a small committee of parent volunteers, with all monies being invested back into the club for future development.

In Aunti Miri's nature craft classes, children are creating amazing artwork – all from natural materials: jewellery, treasure chests, window decorations, sculptures, boats and much more...

RMB Dance provides fun, engaging dance classes in central Edinburgh for children age 3 upwards! There's a variety of classes on offer throughout the week for a range of dance styles and age groups. My mission is to provide a warm, inclusive environment where children find a love for movement and develop confidence to explore their physical and creative potential. Children will be welcomed into a positive environment where they can be themselves, challenge themselves and share a love of dance with their peers. I take pride in RMB Dance being a welcoming, creative, non-competitive environment - we do not participate in exams or competitions but do have anual shows and class performances.
