Sporting Revolution presents Sporting Young Stars a unique approach to coaching using games to understand the dynamics of sport as well as teaching the basic skills and rules. For nursery children we use play to teach them gross motor skills before moving onto teach the P1&2 children basic skills and rules of our sports while also introducing them to ideas of movement, tactical thinking and awareness. The P3/4&5 classes work on their sporting understanding through playing the sports and creative games again helping them to further understand tactical thinking, movement, awareness and timing.

LSRA was formed in 1976, although an earlier incarnation got things started in 1967. Now in its 50th year we are still going from strength to strength. This year LSRA changed its name to LSR dropping the association as we are now a registered club. With activities on the hill on Monday, Wednesday, Thursdays and Friday evenings, as well as ad-hoc training nights there are lots of opportunities to push your skills in ski racing with our experienced coaches. Based at Hillend (currently known as Midlothian Snowsports Centre) on the edge of the Pentland Hills to the South of Edinburgh, LSR has been actively involved in training thousands of trainees from the central belt of Scotland and beyond. Some of whom have raced at the highest levels including the Olympics! Today, we have over 200 trainees, with an athlete / coach ratio set around 10:1. We have also introduced a Masters Category for racers over the age of 30 and have been successful in enticing numerous new and older racers alike. LSR is a non-profit organisation, run by a small committee of parent volunteers, with all monies being invested back into the club for future development.

SKILLZONE MULTI-SPORTS is a coaching programme designed to give your child the best possible introduction and experience of sport and physical activity. Our coaching team have over 20 years experience developing and delivering tennis, badminton & multi-sport programmes in schools, clubs and communities across Edinburgh. Within SKILLZONE, the aim is to create an environment which allows children to develop key motor skills that are transferrable across many sports, builds their technical skill level, introduces relevant competition, and most of all...is FUN!
