Gymnastics in Stevenage. Swan Academy was set up to create more opportunities for children and young people to take part in recreational gymnastics as a hobby. We offer a general gymnastics programme where skills are taught in a fun and progressive way, with activities that can be simplified for beginners or made more challenging for those more advanced. We get children very excited about mastering new skills with our very own badges chart award scheme. The club was set up by an Olympic standard gymnast and coach, to engage more children and get them involved in the amazing sport of gymnastics.

Our Development Sessions are designed to improve and challenge the following: Individual Ball Mastery techniques, both learning skills to protect the ball, escape from pressure and eliminate in 1v1 scenarios. 1v1 domination, both offensively and defensively with pressure from the front/back and sides. Passing & Receiving techniques with links to tactical games to help players execute under pressure. Players game-insight, understanding the bigger picture of their role within a group of players. Small Sided Game experience, with contact time and intensity of match-reps being a focus. Players will be paired with individuals at a similar stage of their own journey, so that they can develop and be challenged whilst having success. Our players also get opportunities to play in tournaments and academy fixtures to showcase their level on the bigger stages.
